First Time Writing for TV Feat. Eliza Cossio (HBO, Hulu, Comedy Central)

Hi First Timers! I’m excited to bring my friend, vocal coaching client and writer Eliza Cossio to you today. Eliza is a multi-talented creative but her main gig is writing for TV. TV writing has always really interested me: trying to plan out a season, develop characters, wondering how you even break into that line of work, etc. so I thought I’d sit down with Eliza to have a chat about her journey.

Eliza has written on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart (and also Trevor Noah), Taika Waititi’s “This Flag Means Death” on HBO, “This Fool” on Hulu. Her original scripts have been written up in NY Magazine, Vulture, AV Club & Slate Magazine and has premiered works at SXSW.
